Do I need planning permission for a garden office in Sussex?
For most garden rooms and garden offices in Sussex, you do not need planning permission and you can build your garden building within permitted development rights.

This is all completely dependent on what you intend to build. To be within permitted development, your garden office must still meet certain criteria such as staying within 2.5m height limits, it must be behind the house, does not exceed more than 50% of the entire space of your home etc.
